Sustainability Policy

Mission Element as a consultancy works with a wide range of business and industries, advising on business best practice which includes the promotion of sustainable best practice. Our advice incorporates a range of best practice initiatives including UN Sustainability Goals, following guidance to actively address areas for improvement, referring to expert partners where further expertise is required.

As a business we work to a lean model, reducing emissions where possible such as limiting journeys and avoiding certain types of travel, sourcing materials and support locally, providing opportunities to NEETS and those seeking experience. As a company, we are committed to a low carbon future and assess every project to see where emissions can be reduced, materials reused or recycled, supporting local enterprises whenever possible.

To achieve our goals, the Company has committed to the following actions:

  • Where data can be gained, we are measuring our organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions across our business operations. We will are now starting to gather and use this data to set targets to reduce our emissions, actively addressing our ways of working.
  • Encouraging our clients to help us reduce emissions where possible during projects where we are required to work on-site, to further support our carbon reduction goals.
  • Continuously engaging with third parties, ensuring our clients have access to experts in social and environmental topics, actively promoting sustainable practice
  • Incorporating both social and environmental factors into the internal procurement process to ensure all our services and goods are responsibly sourced. We have pledged to reduce, reuse and recycle goods in our business whenever possible. If we are unable to reuse or recycle goods which could have a second life, we will work with organisations such as A Good Thing to redistribute appropriate goods to organisations where they can have a second life.
  • We will actively recommended to clients appropriate suppliers and supply chains to meet goals on sustainable raw and processed materials in the course of our work.
  • Where we attend or participate in speaking engagements, on-site work, events and exhibitions, we will ensure we minimise the impact to the environment by reducing emissions from business travel, reducing any waste created, and recycling or reusing materials where feasible and possible.
  • Embracing a hybrid remote working policy, reducing emissions from commuting, as well as allowing flexibility for our team and supporting well-being.
  • Where relevant and possible, we speak publicly about the need for businesses to adopt an active and progressive approach, particularly in the marketing and advertising community to reduce emissions in line with industry goals
  • As a Company, we support our local Trussell Trust FoodBank, providing time and goods to support this much-needed service in our community.

As a business, we actively support the work of UN Sustainability Goals, SBTi, Planet Mark, Ad Net Zero. We will continuously review our progress, updating this statement annually.
